Problem Statement:
Bridging the Gap for Non-Telegram Users
‍A major problem I sought to solve was accessibility for users who either weren't familiar with or didn't want to use the Telegram bot. While Telegram is widely used in the crypto space, it's not a universal platform, and many users might not be comfortable or willing to use it. The web app version of Type AI was designed to eliminate this barrier, allowing users to access the same powerful DeFi tools through a familiar web browser interface. By creating a web app, I enabled users to access Type AI from any device, without the need for additional apps or software like Telegram. This opened up the platform to a broader audience, ensuring that both tech-savvy users and those less familiar with DeFi could interact with the platform in a straightforward and user-friendly manner.
Web App Creation Process for Type AI

In developing the web app version of the Type AI platform, my primary goal was to bridge the gap between everyday users and the complex world of Decentralized Finance (DeFi). While Type AI had already established a successful Telegram bot, I recognized that a significant portion of potential users might not be familiar with accessing or interacting with a bot on Telegram. For these users, the complexity of DeFi could be further compounded by having to navigate a platform like Telegram, which may not be intuitive for everyone. To address this, I set out to create a web app that would provide a seamless and more accessible entry point into the Type AI ecosystem.

Maintaining Brand Consistency

In addition to focusing on accessibility and functionality, I also placed a strong emphasis on visual design, ensuring that the web app aligned with Type AI’s overall brand identity. Having been involved in the initial branding process, I carefully selected colors and design elements from the original Type AI branding to create a cohesive look and feel. This helped ensure that users who were familiar with the Type AI Telegram bot would feel at home on the web app, as the visual transition between platforms remained seamless.The chosen color palette was meant to evoke trust and modernity, using cool tones that balanced professionalism with approachability. This visual consistency across the platform not only reinforced the brand identity but also contributed to an overall sense of reliability and simplicity—key values for a platform aiming to demystify the complexities of DeFi.

Design Inspiration

When considering the design of the web app, I looked to the user interface of ChatGPT as a key source of inspiration. ChatGPT's interface is simple yet highly functional, focusing on clear, conversational engagement. Since Type AI also relies on AI-driven communication to provide users with DeFi services, it made sense to follow a similar approach in creating a user experience that feels natural and intuitive. I aimed to strip away the complexities of DeFi, using a conversational model that users are already familiar with, thereby reducing friction and encouraging engagement.The web app's layout was designed to be minimalistic, featuring clean lines and intuitive navigation. This approach ensured that users could easily interact with the AI and access the full range of DeFi services without being overwhelmed by technical jargon or cluttered interfaces. In particular, I focused on making it easy for users to input queries, execute transactions, and view their portfolio, all while hiding the complexity behind the scenes.

Result

The inclusion of the Type AI web app interface resulted in a significant boost in market cap as of May 29th, 2024.
